Backstage Drama 2018

Lakmé Academy powered by Aptech launched Backstage Drama in 2018 with the motive to provide a platform to its students to showcase their makeup and hairstyling skills to the outside world. This exclusive activity took place for the first time in December 2018 where students were asked to take up the challenge of doing offbeat makeup under unique themes like Shimmer in Neon, Gothic Goddess, and the Marine Life. Use of rare colours and offbeat makeup to create jaw-dropping looks were epitome of their skills, concepts and creativity.

The hard work behind the glamourous looks of models and celebrities can only be spotted at the backstage. Their personal finesse on the craft resulted in significant transformation that left the audience spellbound.

The first season of Backstage Drama was conducted in December 2018 in Lakmé Academy centres across India.
The themes for Backstage Drama 2018 were Shimmer in Neon, Gothic Goddess, and Marine Life.
Gold, silver, and bronze were the three main award categories.
Best Makeup Innovation, Best Set up, and Outstanding Efforts were the three other categories in which students were awarded.
Backstage Drama 2018 received overwhelming response from all the centres and audience.

Amit, Kritika, Neha & Upasna won the Gold Prize in Backstage Drama for their marvellous work in creating ‘The Gothic Goddess’ look.

Anjali, Jyoti, Noore & Priya won the Silver Prize in Backstage Drama for creating a jaw-dropping ‘Shimmer In Neon’ look.

The Marine Life

Rita, Shweta & Vanshika won the Bronze Prize in Backstage Drama for their amazing work in creating ‘The Marine Life’ look.
